WHO IS PIPER GRANT?
Piper Grant is a musician based in New Zealand, North America and Australia. She began songwriting at the age of nine and combined her words with the melody from a guitar. Piper accompanies the instrument with vocals, singing covers and originals alike.
Piper has played at JOYFEST, private functions, the Bay of Islands Country Rock Festival (2022) and has released five singles and one EP before the age of sixteen.
In 2021, Piper became a finalist in the annual NZ Play It Strange Youthtown Songwriting Competition, earning her first recorded song 'Speak Up' a spot on the public album. The accomplishment was repeated in 2022, with her song 'i don't talk to no one.' During the same year, her song 'You Give Me Chills' was released, featuring on the Play It Strange Lion Foundation Songwriting Competition album. Her single 'woulds & shoulds' came 2nd place in the 2023 Youthtown Songwriting Competition- soon after which it was released on her debut album, 'Bigger Than Texas.'
Homeschooled for nine years, Piper has had the opportunity to pursue the things that bring her joy. She has written two novellas, over 300 songs, and blogs regularly to share her insights and inspirations for young people.
Living in the Bay of Islands, which is renowned for it's prime sailing, Piper has developed an adoration for being on the water. When she is not creating music or writing, she is on the ocean.
